Some t mobile pricing

Even with the first 5GB of data included before they start throttling your connection bandwidth that's still not bad.

Quick math Sprint 2 phones plus lines $200 per phone, $150 per month after taxes and fees. That's $4000 in 2 years.

Unlocked plus prepaid, 2 phones plus lines. $500-600 per phone $90-100 per month That's $3,200 plus better updates and flexibility

I have three 4G phones on the 1500 Everything Data Family Share plan @ $150/mo. + $10/ea. phone for premium data (WiMax) = $180/mo. X 12mo. = $2,160 + taxes & fees, so figure closer to $2,500/yr. I don't know if I could do better with a different carrier without incurring huge overage charges because I routinely consume 8-10GB of data a month on my E4GT, + the EVO, + the wife's E4GT. Hmm...

Because of this and other recent tech/android news I'm seriously (I mean SERIOUSLY) considering getting an unlocked phone like they do in Europe and going prepaid. Especially since LTE is so iffy right now on Sprint and I refuse to let Verizon nickel and dime me into the poor house. Thanks to Deck's ICS I've learned to live with 3G and wi-fi for big file downloads (is pb26 out yet??? :P ) So why not just get 2 $46 plans (taxes and fees included) instead of paying $200 for 3 lines (one is coming off soon). An extra $100 per month will pay me back for hte unlocked phones in a year. And I can always buy a new one and sell whatever I have at will. No contract.

But I'll always be a part of the VP Family. Without Jim, Rope, Car, Smelkus, JJ ... man all you dudes.... I'd probably think that Sense 4 was the best thing since the StarTac!!!

Seriously considering this myself, at least the buying of an unlocked GSM phone, then I'd be guaranteed the quad core goodness of the SGS III. More money out of pocket up front for the phone, but less on a recurring monthly basis sounds good, still pondering this tho....

Thanks for the kind words

I have 3 friends all waiting for the HTC LTE.  They aren't rooters at all.  Do you think this will still be a nightmare for them with just stock ROM?
They can completely forget about multitasking in any way similar to what every other Android phone is currently capable of. You can safely say the EVO 4G LTE will multitask about as well as an iPhone 4s  or not at all...Since usable LTE coverage for most of us is realistically a year & a half away, unless you live in one of the initial launch markets. There are a couple of worthy phones currently available on Sprint. Those being the SGS II Epic 4G Touch, and the Galaxy Nexus. Rumored & confirmed coming phones are the Galaxy Note/Journal & the Galaxy S III.Sent from my E4GT packed full of & The Goodness of TNz Blend ICS on Tapatalk 2 Pro

But you guys know what,I am an Android fan boy and despite apple, my wife has icrap4s 16gb and when we put then too the test I beat her in everything, even after that she was like but my phone never fails, as soon as she said that her phone started acting up because it was to full and guess what she couldn't upgrade sdcard, and then her battery died, and so did mine, butt guess what I pulled out my wallet and baaam! ! ! Extra juice, I was so happy, then I said wait your internet is too slow, here plug to mine. Oh man a day to remember, and then she was like but look at all you had to do to your phone for it too be like that and I was like don't be jealous just cuz you can't upgrade like that, now she wants my evo when I up grade

That's how my wife ended up with an E4GT replacing her tired iPhone 3Gs. She saw what I was able to do with my EVO, & now we both have E4GT's, at least for a little while until I upgrade to the SGS III... Maybe...

For me I've always hated the whole iOS experience, the keyboard just blows (and you can't change it, wtf), multitasking is nonexistent & damn near impossible, their screen is too small, & I absolutely despise the whole iTunes/iOS sync thingy. And where the fakk is the back button???
