Agreed...plus all of the work that it takes to get the phone into download mode (ie the whole paperclip thing) is probably more than anyone is willing to do just to gain s-off. BUT...if it worked, it would at least mean its possible! haha! Really there isn't a need for s-off as far as flashing roms and kernels, only to update radios which your latest guide has so graciously given us a means to do so. FlashimageGUI is my friend. Have you heard anything about any OC kernels for the 2.17 base? I think chad is working on one but i haven't heard any news. You would know more than i.
