Dropped my EVO and the screen died

So, Tuesday night, I dropped the EVO (first drop higher than a few feet) and to my dismay, the screen didn't make a return. Since I couldn't be without a phone for business, I went straight to Best Buy to get a replacement. I figured when the guy said, "when you bring it in, you get a brand new phone" that he meant I got a brand new phone... NOT the case. It is what it is, I hate best buy for reasons such as this... So, I got some bullshit blackberry loaner to use til the new one comes in Friday, but I'm going to have to root it and I'm wondering if I'll be able to root the latest hboot?

FYI on keeping the same ext for multiple ROMS

Eventually, you'll probably get some sort of data corruption (particularly going back and forth from GB to ICS. Not sure if this is the case with EXT-2 and 3, but has been the case for me on EXT-4, so make sure when you back up that you include your EXT partition, or create a nand of just your EXT.

TWRP 2.0 for HP Touchpad...

Has anyone successfully gotten this to work? I tried both methods and any time I try to boot to TWRP I get, a "bad CRC" error... Wondering if I need to update moboot. currently on 0.3.3
