Had to check this out after reading here.. I do like it, probably more so once I put it on the tablet. But it would be nice if you were able to add your own sources. Since I had to go looking for it, and it's not in the market, I've attached it here.

This will basically build an apk from scratch?
Technically, it could. (It doesn't yet have the ability to add files to a project). But it's main purpose is for modding existing apk's or framework.

You might want to consider downloading VMware and just slapping up a linux box. You could switch between the two seamlessly and let the linux box do its thing while you surf away.
Also, considering you can build a system with a quad core / 16 gb ram for about $400 these days, I'm pretty sure a fund drive could knock that out pretty quickly
Does beg the question though why a group of devs don't get together and make a server or rent some of cyanogenmod's spare cycles...
The apk editor looks neat btw.

I was using a VM in the beginning, and switched to dual boot because while it works, that almost doubles the time it takes to do a full build. My laptop is at the max of 4GB ram and that doesn't lend well to this option either. Remote dedicated servers with good specs are not cheap, and while that could reduce the build time, it would add a ~100-200mb download every time a build is done.

Not confident enough to try the downgrade to 1.4. Are there any plans to develop any updates to RC2? Having withdrawals from updates and flashing. Just curious
Things are a bit up in the air at the moment... I got a real burned out on this after going hard for over a year straight, so I've been trying to rotate between a few different projects. The pattern here seems to be a few months of little to nothing, and then banging out a from/update over a weekend. There are other teams working on things also now that have more manpower and are getting much further much faster than I am, at least for aosp (eg aokp). I still have hopes for a multi-device build, but such a thing takes a good chunk of time. Currently I've been working on Virtuous Ten Studio, which is likely going to become THE tool for apk/jar modding, and should be released very soon.
