Ok. So I have played with this all afternoon and well into the night. This thing is fast as hell. Though it plowed threw the battery. Yes ALLOT of it was me playing with it. Playing with thems and move boot animations around and making it mine. My little EVO is just as fast as my brand new computer I just put together... WOW....

Now it is time to figure out battery adjustments....

WOW this is fast. well after 10 hours of straight playing with, there is NO lag, NO loss in speed, NO FC's, NO random reboots (other then when I rebooted it.) NO issues what so ever. Streams music off pandora unstoppable, runs the browser like a mad man. Runs 3 g and 4g like theres no tomarrow.

Though I do miss the wireless teather for my thrive. But I am sure with more looking and playing I can get it working, and it will run like crazy...

Again. THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK.. You have a new follower....

Thanks for the heads up. I knew it had wifi on it. I read it on a post and also seen it. Just could not remember as to were it was. Thanks for the heads up on the encryption. I looked at it to set it up but did not bother to turn it on or try it yet...

lol... Nope. Just same name.. I just think of the popularity if this forum had the real Mark Anthony on it.

Sorry for the long winded. Since I am not sure on screenshots. I am trying to give as much history and info as I can give off.

Ok. So I have been running this rom like crazy. I started off with settings off the car-o-dope guide. I have since made small adjustments to it. Up or down one number to play with just a bit. I admit that this is one quick little bugger, with MAJOR battery drain, As I figured it would with as fast as it goes. So I have been working the numbers a little to settle the battery drain down a bit.
I have ran into some snags. I started downloading some apps off the market when I realized i did not back them up. It gave me one error of " not enough memory" and quit the install. Which is odd since, in the menu it show I have 354MB of space left (info found in menu>setting>storage>internal storage>available space) In the process manager it shows memory of 158MB used and 245MB free. (found in app>process manager>main screen across the top) I rebooted the phone and re-downloaded the app, with NO problem. I noticed a little lag with the app, witch is something I can live with (for now) This was yesterday mid morning. Phone ran fine till mid to late afternoon. Then I answered a text from my wife, Made a call to a friend. When I got off the phone. It alarmed off with a high battery temp (115) then shut down.. Weird.. I let it sit for 10 mins. Then restarted it. When booted into the rom. It was different. It did not load the go launcher or even show any of the go launcher apps ( message, contacts, phone, etc.) It also did not show ANY of my dl'ed apps. There was not market to re-dl. My wallpaper had changed to green grass. The boot image and boot animation was different. boot animation was the word ANDROID in blue across the screen. Which was the animation I had from my last rom. It was just weird. No I did not get a screenshot of it. I am still unsure about doing that. It has the standard phone, app drawer, browser buttons on the bottom.
I rebooted the phone and lost even more apps. Mostly Google apps. I booted into recovery and started over again. factory rest, wiped both cache, data, boot, system, sdext. Then flash rom, then flashed kernel, then reboot. Setup Google account. Then dl rom toolbox. it dl then installs the reboots the phone. With every app I dl. It reboots while it installs the app.

When I first started with this rom the very first time. I backed up my SD card via to my computer. I formatted it via of my computer. I reinstalled the SD card to the phone. booted into recovery then formatted the SD card. I partitioned the SD card. (* note. SD card if stock factory 8GB that came with the phone. I have never needed a use for a bigger card as of yet) I partitioned the card in ext2 then upgraded it to ext3. I set the numbers to 2048MB or 2GB. Then ran threw recovery settings to power off phone. Then removed the SD card. moved files over the card via my computer. Installed card back in phone. Booted into recovery. Wiped everything (data/factory rest, both cache, system, boot, sdext) then flashed rom. Waited till install was done. Flashed kernel. Waited till it was done. Then boot phone. When booted into rom. I set up Google account. Looked at the go launcher EX. Moved around some screens. App drawer. Press home. Chose launcher. Moved around some screens. App drawer. Press Home. checked " default " then choose Go launcher EX for default launcher. Went to market and accepted terms. Downloaded rom toolbox. installed updates to apps that needed it. Installed system tuner as per car-o-dope guide. Went after it from there.

So. What the hell did I do wrong. I know it was me and not the rom....

Questions.
1. Can I still have some information from other rom's that are staying and causing issues?
1a. How do I completely format the machine to make sure EVERYTHING is off to have a fresh install?
2. How do I take a screenshot?
I understand that it does do it. Is it a dl or part of the phone features?
3. How many rom's in one year can be flashed to a phone before you have an issue?
3a. Is what I am seeing a fall out to have flashed too many rom's?
I have flashed way to many rom's to count. Trying to find the right one. I flashed a rom for the EVO 3d once by mistake. Could this be part of my issue?
4. Could I not be wiping it correctly?

EDIT: I am using RA recovery v 2.3.

Thanks.

Using Caulkins format all is enough to rid your phone of previous roms when flashing a new one.

Your market cache was full is the reason you're apps won't finish installing. Go into app manager and clear your market cache when that occurs.

you mentioned formatting your card to 2GB ext3. Overkill of you ask me. You won't need more that 750mb to 1GB. But to each his own. You didn't however say you flashed dta2sd. I am going to assume you did and forgot to mention it. Otherwise there is no reason to format an ext partition. if you did flash a2sd, did you install it via terminal emulator? If not, open TE and type su , a2sd install . It will reboot when finished.

These are some of your issues. Check back later for others to comment.

Ok.So now I have if figured out, and set up. I have worked some settings to get my fix of speed vs battery. This thing just screams along. 4G is like dont blink or you will miss it fast. Blows the doors off the stock phones sitting in the show room floor. I am so glad that sprint has not put a cap on data usage........ Between my wife and I. Last month we used a combined total of 8 GB's of 4G, and well over that in 3G ( me alone was 10 GB's)

Now I am playing with the voice mail. It comes across as text message. so and so called. call this number to get voice mail. When I call it, I get the busy signal.. Can I still use the visual voice mail system with this rom.

I have seen the app on the phone for Google voice. I thought it was a way for cheep international calls. Never really clicked for voice mail. So I have setup my Google voice mail, and kicking myself for not doing it along time ago. ............

I do have to say. I do like to see that fact that there are better replies, and to the point, on this forum then on XDA. I LOVE IT.. I really think all you guys do is sit with on machine linked solely to this site to make our phones better.

Thought process hear..
With this rom. there is a section to make tweeks to the governor and overclock and undervolt. We are also talking about rom toolbox, system tuner, set cpu. These three apps all do the same basic thing. play with governor, OC's, and uv's. Is all three apps need together. Will one or the other work.
I do understand each has a different fine tune/monitors/tweeks/ui.

I'm going to speak for Car and Rope here:
These tweaks were written for ROMs that don't have the ability to make those tweaks. Set CPU is not needed at all. Get rid of it. RTB can do some things that STP can not and vice versa. Just remember to not "set at boot" the same settings in both applications.

Yeah, GV fixes that pesky 9016 error message on all the AOSP's I've tried, even MIUI.

This forum is usually the first thing I check in the a.m., & the last thing I check at night. I've been known to sit & refresh the front page every 3-5 minutes when I'm board  not so much lately now that ICS is out for a couple of my other devices.
Thanks for the kind words!
