So maybe this stuff is doable with titanium backup but I've never figured it out.

App is JS backup. Gives an easy way to backup things such as text messages and call history. The app doesn't require root privileges and also supports cloud storage via dropbox or the storage of your liking. The thing that I've noticed most recently with flashing the aokp updates is that restoring my js backup restores my ROM control settings such as the lock screen settings and notification bar toggles.

This annoyed me greatly due to the fact that I use my 4g for GrooveIP at the house, and other than flashing new ROMs don't use it for much. And I bought GIP via Amazon.

Today I looked at my devices amazon -> apps -> your apps and devices -> your devices and Amazon thought I had 25 devices. Upon deleting one of them, I was once again able to log into amazon via my newly flashed 4G

So yeah, while not all ROM flashes seem to have created a new amazon device, a lot of them have.

I have rooted using the HTC method which leaves me as S-On but "rooted". I have not followed updates very closely but I was curious if there is a way to boot into the Recovery/Hboot mode without using the XDA method of using a computer and cable and a command to get to Recovery? Is there something in CWM or some kind of shortcut since it doesn't work when you hold down the power button and the volume button. Installed boot manager once, screwed it up. Saw a question from someone, responded taking all the blame for the fritz up on me. Because it probably was, and the story was humorous..... wiped my phone in the grocery store while trying to use the program etc.

Figured I would try again. Reinstalled it. Set up my phone, as specified. Set up my second ROM, using a nandroid, and half my apps were missing. Everything that strted with a or b, was gone. So were a lot of my google apps including market, etc ...Then I looked and my internal memory was full with only 9mb open!!! So I ran terminal emulator, hit su, then a2sd repair, then a2sd reinstall, and everything went to closing on me.
So I went back and tried returning to the original ROM, and everything started closing again, most beginning with HTC. Tried nandroiding back to a working version of anything ....... no luck. I'm now trying again.

Does gapps restore to AOSP and Sense Roms? Is there different version for each? I'm trying to reload my TT Evo Classic Supermagic preview and titanium, and go from there. FAILING that ...... I'm formatting the card, repartionoing, and starting from scratch. NOT something I am looking forward to if I can possibly skip it I would love to.

Meanwhile, in the best courtesy I know I have PM'd the oroginal "anyone can do this" poster about Boot manager and asked him where he would like me to take the question IF he would like to assist or should I just f**k off.

The oriiginal thread was Tommy's on XDA and for sure, not his fault, nor do I want to take a thing away from his thread ....

I deleted my MikG nandroids because they didn't function after trying to restore, but I just tried that deck nandroid and it restored. It took a long time to boot (maybe 10 minutes) and when I first unlocked the screen it was very laggy. 10-20 seconds later it was responsive and ran smooth for the 20 minutes or so before I flashed back to AOKP. I'm interested in understanding if I'm just crazy or if there is something more to this not being able to use nandroids created with an ext3 file system when using an ext4 currently.

Is anyone still using the nexus s 4g skined Swype? I got a notification this morning trolling me that I needed to update or my Swype would no longer work....and sure enough every time I tried to Swype out would beep and flash the blue border....anyone have any insight into this cause I absolutely hate the normal Swype skin.

I am planning on getting a new Evo because mine will no longer take a charge. The hole to plug in the charger is really messed up. It is till covered under warranty, so hopefully that is covered.

Once upon a time I had my Vp 3.2 rc2 running perfectly. Then I decided to try a few other roms cuz I am addicted to flashing. I decided after many, many roms that Vp is the best and no other Rom gave me the options/stability that I needed. So I went back on my knees apologized, bought it flowers and promised never to go out looking for something I already had. So I flashed back and it was never the same.

Currently running Vp3.2 rc2 , dt a2sd setup perfectly with 1g partition and have never used any other a2sd function/app so as to not mess up the dt a2sd function, netarchy toasted 4.3.2 cfs havs more , with the tweaks from the guide to awesomeness in the Vp forums that include using Rom toolbox and system tuner pro.

The issues r as follows - flash does not work in ANY browser or in the flash games I have. My sirius xm radio app only works on WiFi and I have changed the http proxy settings to bypass the Sprint servers by ##3282# settings. These two thing I use multiple times a day.

I have flashed other roms JUST to see if these functions work, and they do work in other sense and aosp roms I have tried.

Please I need ur help. I don't want to use any other Rom becuz this Rom is the best out there! I love this Rom and it doesn't love me back....*sniff

Ps. I have tried diff kernels and no tweaks and still no dice. I will try anything, flash, SD card wipe, anything.

Then we started with the EVO, she tells me to type in the MSL to enable changing the MSID & phone #. Imagine my surprise when the EPST codes did NOTHING on the EVO cuz I'm running Deck's 1.3d :o So I tell her I don't know what the problem could be :rolleyes: and ask that we proceed with the E4GT, she agrees, & we continue. After the E4GT is switched over I make up an excuse that I have to take another call. She gives me the EPST codes & steps to complete the changeover on the EVO, and says she'll call back in an hour to make sure I get it done. Yeah right! :blink:
So now I'm scrambling to flash a Sense ROM, only I don't have any Sense roms on my sd card :eek: Check the laptop, nothing in the downloads folder, fakk! Check the root of the C: drive & find an old backup of one of my SD cards. In it I find a folder labeled VaelPak, & a full copy of VP 3.2-RC2 that I hope is still good, & will fit in my Firerat resized /system partition. Nandroid, wipe, flash, boot, fingers crossed...
WoOT!!! Splash comes up, boot animation comes up... Then it sits there in boot animation FOR 30 MINUTES!!! :eek: I'd pretty much given up on it booting at this point, pull the case off, pop the battery door off, I'm just about to pop the battery out & the setup screen comes up, phew! :mrgreen: Bypass setup open the dialer, ##MSL#, change the MSID and phone #, reboot. Call the EVO from the E4GT, success! :D As soon as I finished the Sprint CS rep called me back to make sure I was all set :rolleyes:
The moral of this story is when switching phones & phone numbers around don't be running an AOSP ROM when you call Sprint CS, you never know when you'll need those pesky EPST codes, lol :lol:
